1. Gathering of the Juggalo's organizers.
I would be shocked if Shaggy and Violent J didn't have final say when it comes down to who gets to perform at their idiot festival. Not really mad at these guys though, because when it comes down to it, the audience had a good time throwing objects and toxic waste at her. This wouldn't be the first time an artist was invited to a festival to bomb intentionally; (Chubby Checker went on before Blue Oyster Cult at the 1000 islands festival in 1981...) in fact this tradition of embracing failure goes back at least as far as Elizabethan England bear-baiting.
2. Tila Tequila
Oh lord where do I start with this rant. Tila was tweeting for weeks before the gathering about the show so she can't claim ignorance . Here's one from the 14th of August:
Lil Kim also performing tonight!! Woohoo! This is gonna be so fun!! I bought a TON of cool shit that imma spray at the crowd!!! Lol!
Get it straight Tila it's "Woop Woop." And it's not that hard to entertain these people. They are at a three day festival headlined by ICP, Twizted, and the Kottonmouth Kings. Getting booed off stage at the gathering is as hard as building a mosque at ground zero .
3. Idiots in the audience.
Actually I don't blame these guys at all. I have never endorsed violence towards anyone (least of all women), however, the music needed to stop. I've been to her myspace page (as have a record number of you according to wikipedia) and let's just say it gets ugly. The scariest thing for me here is the potential statement by a label owner (will.I.am in this case???) that "if you can't sing, rap." This is an insult to any real rap fan such as myself.
Well I hope everyone involved has learned their lessons...unless they profited from this which would make me a cog in the giant wheel of their nightmarish pursuit of publicity.
